Alex Fagan named Director of LaunchGVL
A Greenville County Schools teacher of more than ten years takes over the Chamber's high school internship program.
The Greenville Chamber has named Alex Fagan as Director of LaunchGVL, the internship program it runs in partnership with Greenville County Schools.
Fagan taught in Greenville County Schools for more than ten years and was named Outstanding Teacher of the Year in 2022. He joins the Chamber from Furman University, where he was program coordinator for curriculum at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
In the role he works with employers, educators and community partners to widen the range of paid internships available to local high school students.
LaunchGVL was founded in 2018 to give students hands-on experience and professional skills while helping Greenville employers build a pipeline of local talent.
